This kit is designed to reduce exposure to infectious agents. It is not a substitute for good hygiene practices, as summarised below:

  1. Wash hands frequently with hot soapy water for 15-20 seconds. This is the most important basic preventive measure you can easily take to combat the majority of viral illnesses. Hand washing is advised:
    • - Before and after preparing and/or eating meals
    • - After using the toilet - After coughing or blowing your nose
    • - After removing any individual protection equipment
    • - After contact with any public surface (handrails on stairs, lift buttons etc.)
  2. In the event that soap and water are not available, use DuPont™ Rely+On™ Antiseptic Gel.
  3. Avoid all unnecessary contact, eg handshakes, wherever possible.
  4. Do not share food or drinks with other people.
  5. Avoid densely-populated places (crowds, gatherings …)
  6. Wherever possible, remain at least 1 metre away from other people.

These good hygiene practices, in association with this kit, can help you to reduce the spread of viruses or bacteria in your day to day area. All the products contained in this kit have been chosen for their effectiveness and ease of use. The user guide will help you to understand how to use these products effectively, and will supply you with hygiene advice in order to reduce the risk of viral spread in case of pandemie. Read and follow closely the instructions relating to each product. It is important that you follow the recommendations made by your company as well as the advice you will find in this kit. We would remind you that the products which make up this kit are only one factor enabling the transmission of viruses and bacteria to be reduced to a minimum.

CAUTION:

Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use! The mask and gloves must be correctly positioned in order to ensure the expected level of protection. This kit is not intended to treat illness. Do not modify this kit in any way, or use it except in the correct circumstances. Dispose of it if damaged.

  1. DuPont™ ! Personal Biosecurity Kit - Starter Version :

    • DuPont Rely+On™! Antiseptic gel (150ml): Hydro-alcoholic antiseptic Gel for disinfecting the hands. Active against the Influenza virus (H1N1 and avian strain H5N1), against HIV-1 virus, PRV (surrogate of HBV), BVDV (surrogate of HCV), Herpes virus, Rotavirus, Adenovirus and Poliovirus. It also complies with bactericidal standards: EN 1040, pr EN 12054, EN 1500, pr EN 12791; and fungicidal ones: EN 1275 (Candida albicans).
      CAUTION: Flammable product.
    • DuPont™ Rely + On™ Virkon® surface disinfection (2x 5gr). Rely+On™! Virkon ® is a unique formulation that combines cleaning and disinfection in one action.Rely+On™! Virkon® has demonstrated its considerable effectiveness against a broad spectrum of viruses: H1N1 strain, H5N1 strain (avian flu), HIV, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, SRAS, Norovirus…It is rapidly effective killing 99.999% of micro-organisms in less than 10 minutes. This active solution is produced by dissolving powder in water.
      CAUTION: Irritant to skin; Risk of serious damage to eyes; Harmful to aquatic organisms. Contains: Dipotassium peroxodisulphate. May produce an allergic reaction.
    • 2 Pairs of vinyl gloves conform to the demands of European directive 89/686 and to standard EN 374-2 (1994) to prepare DuPont Rely+On™! Virkon® solution.

    • 1 Digital thermometer for personal use, to monitor body temperature, usually identified as a first indicator of infection. Conforms to EN12470-3 - Clinical thermometers
    • 1 User guide containing basic information of use required to activate and manipulate production in a safe manner.
